Welcome to Deer Run Fundraising
Fundraising made Simple
Over 75 years ago the McMahon family started in the Holiday business, harvesting trees in our family plots as well as in the Puget Sound area in Washington state. In the 1950’s, Kathleen McMahon a self-trained botanist, got the idea of tying cedar boughs together making swags for local flower shops. The following year she and her husband Vic started making swags for the Seattle market, and 5 years later Vic built the first of several wreath making machines and made their first Christmas wreaths. In 1972 Vic and Kathleen’s two sons and daughters in law joined in the business, and Deer Run Greenery started shipping out of state. In 1994 Vic and Kathleen’s grandson Mike McMahon took over the business. Mike came into the business with education and experience in the floral industry. He previously attended two floral design schools, and primarily trained in English design. His instructor and mentor were involved in arranging flowers for princess Diana’s wedding. He also consulted internationally on floral freeze drying. Deer Run Greenery is still operating on the original family farm, located in the foot hills of the towering cool, rain drenched, Pacific Northwest Cascade Mountains. The McMahon family has always been passionate about the outdoors, and the natural flora of the Pacific Northwest. Striving for over 50 years of business to be a helping hand in their community and others around the nation, we have a passion for our communities and the people in them. The holiday season brings Giving, Family, and lots of Love, and we here at Deer Run commit to that for you.
